Dining at Nushagak River Adventures Lodge is just as incredible as the fishing. Executive Chef Chris Lee and Chef Jenn Laube have got it going on!
Breakfast: 7 AM
Each day guests enjoy a hot breakfast which includes items like pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and more.
Lunch: On the Water
Guests take a bagged lunch out on the river to maximize fishing time. Choose your favorite combination from the items on our sandwich buffet, select a few goodies to toss in, and grab plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Appetizers/Dinner: 6:30 PM
After an afternoon of thorough relaxation and exciting fishing, our guests come back to the lodge for a fantastic 3-course meal prepared by the Chefs. Appetizers could include homemade smoked salmon with all the accoutrements, hand-rolled sushi with fresh salmon, a hot halibut and artichoke spread or any number of amazing dishes. The main meal consists of a quality protein like salmon, halibut, prime rib, pork chops, chicken, barbecue ribs and more. It also includes fresh vegetables and salad and is rounded out with a filling side. Dessert will be something divine should you decide to imbibe.
The lodge also provides assorted snacks that guests have access to throughout the day. Whether you are trying to stay at your fighting weight or just want to indulge, Nushagak River Adventures Lodge has got you covered. Everything is hand crafted from quality ingredients by our creative chefs. If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know at least 30 days prior to your visit. We will do our best to accommodate you on short notice as well.
A Message from the kitchen:
Working in Alaska has been a goal of mine for many years and I am proud to be a part the team here at Nushagak River Adventures Lodge. Having the ability to offer first-class dining to our guests in such a remote location is a big part of what makes the experience so memorable.
During your stay you will enjoy a hot breakfast every morning along with fresh fruit, juice and coffee as well as a selection of breads and pastries.
A typical lunch will be enjoyed back at camp (unless you choose to stay out on the river) and will entail either a hot entree or soup and sandwiches along with freshly baked treats.
Dinner time at Nushagak River Adventures Lodge is a very special occasion, not only for our guests, but for the staff as well. This is the time when everyone can gather around to share stories and get acquainted while enjoying appetizers along with their favorite beverage.
Meanwhile my staff and I will be busy in the lodge setting the tables and putting the final touches on one of our signature dinners. Be it the Wasabi Soy dressing for the hand rolled sushi, the horseradish Chantilly for the smoked prime rib or the flakes of sea salt on the graham cracker toffee for the now-legendary potted S’mores Cake with Marshmallow Brûlée.
As the Executive Chef at Nushagak River Adventures Lodge I will try my best to accommodate those with special dietary needs. If you have special restrictions or preferences, please disclose this as soon as possible to allow us the time to properly accommodate your needs. Send us an email with your requests.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing this amazing adventure.
