Danford Shandy

A second-generation water-obsessed angler and USCG captain, Shandy grew her gills in her homelands of Hawaii, where her father was a marlin boat captain, and also in Australia as an adult paddling outrigger. Shandy is a late contender in the world of Salmonids and anadromous species, but you would never guess it because she has the hyper fixation of a cattle dog when it comes to chasing them.

When Shandy is on or off the water, you can find her with her three crazy dogs. She is also a road tripper, explorer, and instigator. Shandy is always trying to tempt friends, new and old, to come fishing with her!

Shandy hopes to inspire everyone to allow curiosity to get the best of them, to continue to learn, and to always push themselves. She is honored to be a steward of U.S. resources and fisheries that give her that STOKE that everyone craves in life. Shandy calls Oakland, Oregon, home with the Umpqua watershed as her backyard.
