Joaquin Capelle

Joaquin Capelle was born and raised in Patagonia, Argentina, where he grew up fishing for rainbow and brown trout. His passion for the outdoors turned into a profession at an early age when he began guiding fly fishing and hunting trips in Patagonia. Later, Joaquin united his passions to launch a hunting and fishing consulting agency.

During his 30-year guiding career, Joaquin has chased many species across the Americas, including the golden dorado in Argentina; snook, tarpon and permit in the flats of Florida; and salmon in Alaska. He has spent the last two summers guiding for kings and reds on the Nushagak River with Fish The Nush.

In the fall, you can find Joaquin either in the mountains of New Mexico and Utah guiding for elk, mule deer and pronghorn antelope, or chasing trophy whitetails and mule deer with his archery tackle in northwest Kansas.

After the fishing and hunting seasons end in the U.S., Joaquin travels to Patagonia to guide for trout on the fly and doubles as a hunting guide for free-range red stag.

Joaquin’s other passions include trekking and camping with family and friends, skiing and flying his motor-powered parachute.
