Lodging at Nushagak River Adventures
Over the last two years we have built 9 brand-new, cozy cabins. We have re-sided the dining hall, made improvements to the bath room and tore down our 6-person guide dormitory and built a new one. We did all of this while guests were out fishing so that the construction did not interfere with their awesome experience.
Our lodge has comfortable, insulated 12′ x 20′ cabins complete with USB wall outlets. Real beds, comfortable mattresses and down pillows provide first class style in our remote fishing camp. We also feature flush toilets, hot showers and satellite internet. Most of our cabins accommodate four anglers and some are for two.
Our improvements haven’t stopped at the lodge, we’ve upgraded our boats and fishing gear with six new Alumaweld 20-foot boats powered by 90 HP Mercury motors that comfortably fish up to four guests and easily navigate the river. We’ve brought in all new Lamiglas rods and Daiwa line counter reels, new line and tackle. Our top-level guides are armed with the knowledge and the gear for this supreme river. Simply put, they catch fish even when other camps don’t.
We invite you to stay and fish with us on the Nushagak River. Our Lodge is one of the few real-wood framed camps on the lower Nushagak River, and only one of three privately held camps on the river.
Nushagak River Adventures’ Hospitality
Among the finest hospitality offered at a fishing lodge in Bristol Bay, we pride ourselves on being attentive hosts with our eyes and ears open to our guests. From the moment you step off the floatplane in camp you’ll be greeted by our camp leader and team ready to assist you to your cabin and stand by with orientation, an offer of lunch and then take you out to fish for the afternoon. Guests come back to camp at 5 pm to get cleaned up, have an appetizer and cocktail, if desired. You are welcome to bring alcohol, beer or wine to relax in a responsible manner. Dinner is served buffet style at about 6 pm. Meals prepared by Chef Chris Lee are exquisite, well rounded and abundant. Hot breakfast, lunch, dinner and treats are served daily at the lodge. Sample menu items include salmon, halibut, prime rib, pork chops, chicken, fresh vegetables and salads, home made breads, desserts and much more. Everything is hand crafted from quality ingredients and it is all quite delicious. Please let us know of any food allergies or restrictions at least 30 days in advance of your visit. We will do our best to accommodate you on short notice as well.
Comfort on the Nushagak
Most of the land along the Nushagak River is owned by the Choggiung LTD Native Corporation. This limits the number of camps and anglers on the Nushagak which in turn provides you the very best opportunity to be “on the Fish”. Some of the best fishing is right in front of the lodge. Fish all day with your guide then battle fish after dinner back at the lodge. Our guests catch and release kings, silvers, chum, sockeye, Dolly Varden, grayling, char, and Northern pike right off our banks.
